No matter how good a golfer may be, he or she will not be any good at all without golf balls. Granted, it is a no-brainer that golfers need to have golf balls in order to play. But, the question is, which golf balls are the best.

This is a sticky situation and depends almost entirely the individual golfer and his or her tastes, what he or she expects out of the ball, and, quite frankly, how much money he or she wants to spend.

There are golfers out there who will play with nothing but one brand of ball. No matter what else happens, they will only and always use this particular brand. What these balls cost is irrelevant to them.

It is this ball or no golf. Yes, this going to the extremes, but, let’s face it, there are people in this world who prefer living life at the extreme edge of sanity.

For something that s so diminutive, you ll never know that a golf ball contains the deeper science of aerodynamics. Or do you think that the dimples (the pockmark impressions on golf ball) are just there by chance?

The anatomy of a golf ball is indeed composed of several sciences, one of them is aerodynamics and another is ballistics. The dimple designs are there to provide lift.

The Aerodynamics of Golf Balls

In aerodynamics, path of flight are explained with four different factors: the lift opposed by the weight, the thrust opposed by the drag. The power of the swing provides the thrust and the angle of the flight is supplied by the angle of impact on the golf ball. Naturally the wider

the angle the steeper the ball climbs. As soon as the ball is shot from the tee, the power of the swing provides its thrust, and it elevates corresponding to the angle of the club. Naturally, the higher the loft the golf face has the higher the elevation it achieves. This is evident on sand traps where irons with wide wedges are used to clear the buggers.

The game of golf is not only physically but also mentally challenging. It is a strategic game that has many fans around the world. Golf is played by hitting a golf ball using golf clubs on an area called the teeing ground. Once the ball has been hit, it will travel along fairways and into the next prepared area, where a hole is found. This prepared area is known as the putting green.

Simply put, the target of the game is of course to put the ball into the hole in as few hits as possible. This means that a golfer has to complete the hole by hitting the golf ball from the teeing ground into the hole in the putting

green using the golf club in as little strokes as possible. A round of golf usually means a play of 18 holes.

Ever wonder how to get that great distance and control on the course? It all has to do with golf ball contact. Everything depends on how and when you hit the golf ball, and you ll see it in your results.

Hit Down to Get the Ball Up:

This may sound a little bit crazy to some but, with every club except the driver and putter you should be striking the ball with a slightly downward blow. What this does is, it allows the loft of the club to work as it s supposed to and launch the ball up into the air. Proper golf ball contact will also increase distance because when the ball is hit at impact, the descending movement

compresses the ball witch in turn releases more energy sending the ball further.
